We are looking forward to welcoming Ms Mireia Luzárraga from takk.architecture to the ILEK. She will give a lecture on her work dealing with adaptation processes.
The event is part of an interdisciplinary lecture series in the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre 1244 "Adaptive skins and structures for the built environment of tomorrow" at the University of Stuttgart.

Topic: Adaptation Processes in the Age of the Anthropocene

Takk is a space for architectural production focused on the development of material practices in the intersection of nature, culture, technology and politics, with particular attention to the challenges raised by the age of the Anthropocene.
Led by Mireia Luzárraga and Alejandro Muiño from Barcelona and Madrid, Takk combines its professional activities with research and academic activities. Currently, Mireia and Alejandro are teaching design studios at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Alicante and the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia.
Takk has published its work in international forums such as GSAPP-Columbia University in New York, Thailand Design in Bangkok and the Floating University in Berlin among others. Also, its work has been exhibited in the Rabal Biennial 2019, the Orleans Biennial 2019 and 2017, the Oslo Triennial 2016, and the Venice biennial 2014 and 2021. Its work belongs to the permanent collection of FRAC Centre-Val de Loire, Centro Cultural Matadero de Madrid and the Centro de Arte 2 de Mayo. In addition to collective exhibitions at Alcova Milán or at the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona CCCB, Takk has opened its first solo exhibitions at Magazin Gallery in Vienna and Galería H2O in Barcelona.
